In this session, we explore the 3rd component of our GenJ framework: Engaging in Partnership.
We highlight that spiritual development requires a partnership between 1) The Holy Spirit, 2) A discipling community and 3) The disciple.
We outline various passages that assert the New Testament’s emphasis on community. These include 1) Jesus’ establishment of a community of 12 disciples, 2) The Early Church’s devotion to fellowship, 3) The apostle Paul’s commission to the mission in the context of community, and 4) The New Testament believers’ description of one loaf and one body.
We conclude the session by focusing on some practical strategies to support our disciples/mentees.
Why don’t you share your prayer request below? We would love to partner with you in prayer as you seek to raise Jesus-like disciples.
